From a troubled youth to becoming one of the world’s leading motivational speakers, Dananjaya’s life has been a roller coaster ride of self-discovery and growth.
In a journey that took over ten years, he managed to transform his life from being a lost teenager to a role model.
In 2014, Dananjaya won the World Championship of Public Speaking contest conducted by Toastmasters International, earning the title over 33,000 contestants from 120 countries across the world.
Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, he was the first Asian representing an Asia Toastmaster district and the first non-native English speaker to win in the contest’s 75-year history.
Today he is the CEO of Standard & Stellar Consulting, a highly specialized Human Resource Development (HRD) and Communications consulting firm that focuses on increasing employee engagement.
But Dananjaya’s passion is motivational speaking and as a trainer and executive coach, he works closely with both private and public sector organizations across the Asia-Pacific Region.
Being able to put theory into practice, Dananjaya combines deep personal insights in adult learning with a passion for public speaking. His accomplishments include:

Deepak Menon, DTM ~ First Vice President
Skills no school, or college, or university can teach.
As a member of the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, Menon is a “working ambassador” for the organization. He works with the Board to develop and support the policies and procedures that guide Toastmasters International in fulfilling its mission.
Menon is a chartered accountant at J.P., Kapur & Uberai in New Delhi, where he is one of nine partners. He oversees management and operations, and specializes in international taxation, cross-border taxation, transfer pricing and direct taxes. Menon also serves as chair of the Chandra Charitable Trust and a trustee of the Columban Endowment Trust, both nonprofit organizations. Menon is a fellow chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, where he earned a Diploma in Information Systems Auditing.
While working with the American Center in New Delhi, Menon served as a coach for Toastmasters’ Youth Leadership program and helped build communication and leadership skills for approximately 700 underprivileged children. He also served as secretary of St. Columba’s School’s alumni society Old Columbans Association, and in 2006, co-founded the publishing house Ambi Knowledge Resources Private Limited.
A Toastmaster since 2002, Menon’s home club is Central Delhi Toastmasters. He has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.
